Use a Pneumatic Forklift
You could usually find pneumatic forklifts in shipping and warehouse operations. Also called pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are utilized in order to transport materials and things around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks that are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump which could lift the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by a single person.
To avoid loosing control while raising heavy loads, pallet trucks must always be operated carefully. Equipment should be checked before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Make sure that the handle could smoothly turn. The pallet must be stacked carefully to guarantee that nothing would fall off during transportation.
In order to release air in the pump and lower the forks, squeeze the lever located on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks can then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks must be in the middle to be able to ensure even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has completely cleared the ground. Do not lift the pallet very high or the forklift could unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is not safe to push the pallet ahead of you as the thrust can cause it to lose control. Take turns slowly and don't try to stop suddenly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
