Operator Environment
Operators have an efficient and safe place to work from in the Spirit Delta cab. The specific design of the cab comes as a result of extensive research into the operators working conditions. The main objective is to be able to offer optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and huge glass areas unobstructed to keep the field of vision clear. The ergonomically designed instrument panel is gently rounded and really comfortable. This specific area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all essential info, so as to keep the operator functioning as effectively as she or he could.
Vibration levels and noise levels are kept low thanks to the insulated mounting on the chassis. To be able to maintain an optimal working position, the hydraulic controls and operator seat are all independently adjustable. Moreover, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for maximum comfort. There are 2 ergonomically positioned multi-functioned and simple to operate levers which are offered for gear changing, windscreen wipers, the horn and window washers.
To ensure a comfortable cab temperature for the operator, a ventilation/heating unit provides incoming air which is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machine has a robust 3-speed fan for defrosting, recirculation, heating and cooling. As an additional option, air conditioning can be fitted.
Instrumentation
The instrument panel in the spirit delta cab has been logically grouped and are all accessible. The standard instruments that comprise: low brake pressure, high coolant temperature, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, warning lamps, applied parking brake and high gearbox oil temperature. In addition, gauges display values for operating time, fuel quantity, gearbox oil pressure and engine coolant.
One of the key options the 8 to 10 tonne trucks can be equipped with is the ECS or Electronic Control System monitoring. This enables for easy supervision of the model. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS or Electronic Control System and incorporated by this system. The full text display and the single warning lamp show any errors which happen and their current values.
