Narrow Aisle Lift trucks
Some lift trucks are especially designed to fit down very narrow aisles in a warehouse. These models are known as narrow aisle lift trucks. They could negotiate smaller aisles easily and enable you to enjoy several benefits. For example, the increased amount of space to store things could really increase a company's overall available inventory.

Narrow aisle forklifts are able to maneuver easily also. These machines have been specially engineered to move without much space. Their different design has eliminated a lot of the things that are squished up into the main body of the traditional forklift design.

The downside of narrow aisle lift trucks is that they are really slow compared to regular lift trucks. Narrow aisle forklifts would not work if you have to move items across long distances. In terms of speed they will not be a dependable choice. If you also have a regular forklift, this would not be a problem. You can simply use the narrow aisle forklift to move the load to a central location and after that hand it off to a standard lift truck that could travel the bulk of the distance in an efficient and timely method. Usually, narrow aisle lift trucks cannot handle as much lifting weight; hence, outside of smaller loads they are not going to be really helpful.

Electric Forklifts
Conventional gas forklifts are not a suitable alternative for indoor applications like stores or warehouses. They would not be as safe because of their fumes, or as useful or cost-efficient compared to an electric powered model. Electric forklifts are often designed to work and look a lot like gas ones, but they use electric batteries that need to be recharged, rather than gasoline fuel.

The electrically powered lift truck has become more popular and for a range of reasons. These machines can help companies save costs on fuel. Electric models would first cost more, but will eventually save you more over time. Like for example, when gas prices go up, you would not be affected and will save lots of cash. Electric units tend to last quite a bit longer than gas powered models as well. This is partially due to the fact they are mainly used inside and thus don't get as dirty or work in as harsh environments as the gas powered units. Electric units are healthier to utilize in poorly ventilated places like indoor applications and warehouses since they don't emit noxious fumes. It could be extremely dangerous to utilize gas or diesel forklifts inside.

Amongst the main disadvantages to electric forklifts is the fact they could usually only work for one 8 hour shift before the battery needs to be charged for another shift. Lots of businesses get around this situation by buying a spare battery so they could continually cycle them and have less downtime. There are fast charge batteries available on the market which are also reducing the charging time.
